Windsor Bears

Team 2008
Welcome to Bears Baseball the home of the Windsor & Maidenhead Baseball Club

The Windsor Bears were formed in 1990, their current home is at Ockwells Park, Cox Green in Maidenhead.

The Bears have had success at every level from Pony and Bronco National Champions to National League Champions for our senior team (Check out the History of the Bears page for full list of achievements).

Each year we have players who represent Great Britain at one level or another. The Bears believe that baseball is a game and games should be fun, but also believe success comes through adherence to fundamentals, diligent practice and established routines. The Bears at every level are coached by certified and CRB checked coaches.

We are looking for players of all ages, parents to assist with youth teams, administrators, officials or anyone who has a vision to see baseball be played and grow in the Windsor and Maidenhead Area.

Youth & Adult Players Needed:
If you are interested in playing Baseball for the Bears in 2009 get in contact with us. We are looking for players for our Rookie, Bronco, Pony and Adult teams. We are also looking for anyone interested in being involved particularly parents with administrative, coaching, field and officiating duties.

Baseball Practice:
Practice every Wednesday from 6PM at Ockwells Park, all welcome even if you are completely new to the game.

2009 Matches:
Windsor Bears are on a six game winning streak and currently sit second in the league.  Look at the new 'Match Report' page for match reports (strangely enough!).

The second half of the season will see the Bears largely on the road, but they will be back in Ockwells Park for the last few games in August.

Fans are welcome at all of our ballgames, with seating right up to the fences for that close to the action feel, or if your prefer the bleachers beyond the out field. All games are free. Bring a chair or rug and come and enjoy watching an afternoon of live baseball!
