Windcrest LL

I just happened to come across your site on eteamz by chance. It's very nastalgic for me. I played in Windcrest Little League some 23 years ago from the time I was 10 years old and made my first Major league roster at a Saturday tryout, (Cliff's Fence Rangers), until I left Senior League at 15 (PSN Astros). I always will cherish my time in Windcrest LL. I learned a lot from great coaches like Gary Guy, Bob Penn, Bob Coolbaugh, Coach Gonzalez, Coach Knight, and too many others to list. I am so glad to see Windcrest still alive and playing ball. I can recall the days where every division in Windcrest was loaded with players, teams, and talent. Inter League play wasn't necessary. Windcrest could always field 8 and 9 teams per division. I guess times change. I can proudly say that my time at the ball park in Windcrest are some of my fondest memories as a child. I now coach my sons t-ball team and draw from my experiences as alittle leaguer so many years ago. Although I dod not live in San Antonio anymore I visit quite frequently. I need to get back down to the old ball park and take in a game or two.

I still talk about some of the great players I played with like, Mike Coolbaugh, Dwight Govan, Brian Penn, Chad Nueberger, Jay Maldonado, Pete DeLandro, David Hilliard, Kevin Knight, Bobby Walker, Evan Guy, and the list goes on and on.

Thanks to all of you who still give of your time to keep Windcrest LL up and running. Hope to see you at the ballpark.
