Lt. Mod. Track Record
After a great practice session on Friday Nicholas really wanted to take a shot at breaking the track record in North Georgia. He had such a good time practicing the car even though it was only for a few laps. He does need as much practice in the car as possible so we decided taking a shot at the record would be good for Nicholas preparing for the grands. During practice , Nicholas was very fast and well under the current track record (6.328) with some fast laps under 6 seconds. He hits the track for qualifying, but track conditions are not as good as they were on Friday, but he still runs 3 fantastic qualifying laps and posts a fast time and new TRACK RECORD of 6.018. Every lap was under the track record time! Nice job dude! Thanks Talon for your great support again and thanks to Tom at Ziggy's Motorworks for building Nicholas one heck of a Mod.

2008 Race Season Begins
It has been a very busy off-season at Wilt Racing and the new season has snuck up much too quickly. The 2008 race season will begin for Wilt Racing on March 22nd. We will be traveling to a new Quarter Midget track at Lanier, Georgia. Nicholas will continue to run his Sr. Honda car. He has a new frame for Lt. 160 and the much anticipated Lt. Mod. program will begin for Wilt Racing. After the success at the Carolina Fall Nationals Nicholas really wanted to start racing Lt. Mod. as much as possible and with the help from Tom at Ziggy's Motorworks and of course the help we always get from Talon Chassis this program is now a reality. Nicholas old Lt. 160 car will become the new Lt. Mod. car after some minor off season frame changes. Due to the low number of Lt. Mod. cars running in our region we may only run the car a few times this year with the big event being the Eastern Grands. As for Kaitlyn. She will be taking a few months off as I get her car ready and she decides how much she wants to race. If we decide to run the points series at the new track in Georgia she may participate in that series. If not, we hope to have her back on the track for the Summer Heat series at NCQMA.
