- RSVPs for the Splash in the Boro Party are due by Saturday, June 2. Please look for the clipboard at the pool. Remember that each registered swimmer is invited and can bring up to 2 guests. BARRACUDAS NEWS and ANNOUNCEMENTS
- BLACK p.m. practices will run 7:00-8:00 pm
- Since afternoon thunderstorms are not uncommon, please be aware of our inclement weather policy: For PRACTICES, unless you receive an e-mail from us, you can assume that we will try to run practices within the timeframe for the practice sessions if/when the weather clears. Practice group times may need to be abbreviated to accomodate the swimmers if we are delayed due to weather. Please be aware: If you are at the WP Pool during inclement weather, all pool safety rules apply -- no one in the pool area for 30 minutes after thunder is heard. For MEETS: Unless you receive an e-mail from us, you can assume that the meet will run.
2012 REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON JUNE 6, 2012
RETURNING Barracudas swimmers - CLICK HERE to register. Registration will remain open until mid-May or the team reaches capacity. Returning swimmers are guaranteed a spot for the 2012 season if they register by May 15.
NEW Barracudas swimmers - TRYOUT Information For safety regulations, you will need to "tryout" before registering. The only requirements are that swimmers be 5-18 years old (as of June 1) and be able to swim one lap of the pool -- any stroke, even "doggie paddle" is okay.PLEASE NOTE THAT REGISTRATION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL THE TEAM (AGE GROUP) HAS REACHED CAPACITY. 2012 FEES
Team membership fee: $125 per swimmer ages 5-14 (age calculated as as of June 1). Registration fee for swimmers ages 15-18 is $60. This includes practices, all dual meets, a 2012 Barracudas t-shirt, awards and the event fees for the SCSL City Championship Meet. Additional nominal fees may apply for other optional "League" meets and league t-shirts. More information will be available soon.
Team Membership fees for active* USA-Swimming year-round swimmers: For swimmers age 5-14, team fees $125 minus a $50 refund at the end of June for all year-round swimmers who are *active (dues-paying) with their year-round team through the summer months.
Non-WP Pool Members: Additional $75 fee per swimmer. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Wilmington Park pool, please check the WPHA website.
Volunteer Deposit: $40 per FAMILY. This will be refunded at the end of the season if the parent(s) have volunteered at a minimum of 3 dual meets and 1 League meet.
Cancellation/Refund Policy: Monday, May 21 is the last day to cancel your registration and request a refund (your team fees paid minus a $10.00 service fee per registration).
OPTIONAL SWIM CLINICS AND CAMPS
Georgia Coastal Aquatic Team (GCAT) is offering Saturday skills clinics now through May. GCAT is also offering one-week summer swim camps that will run most weeks Monday-Friday 11 am - 4 pm.
