Booster Club Ad Book
Important Information from Mike Lucey
Once again the Williamsville East High School Hockey Booster Club will be putting together an ad book to be made available at both the JV and Varsity games this year. The cost of hockey has gone up for all Williamsville schools. Due to cutbacks at the school level, the financial burden is falling more and more on the participants and their families. In order to have an adequate amount of ice, supplies, travel provisions,etc. for both the Varsity and JV teams, private funding is necessary.
The major fundraisers each year include the golf tournament and the ad book. All the players are extremely fortunate to have volunteers who ran a successful golf outing that produced approximately $5,000 to the booster club to offset costs this year. If the ad book can provide a like amount the East teams should be in good shape. The ad book is an easy way for all parents (and players) to help raise funds. I am asking that you approach small business owners and friends that you know and ask if they would not only like to support a high school sports program in their community, but also purchase advertising that hopefully will provide new customers. I also ask that each of you support those who support East Hockey by patronizing their businesses.
If each player (and his parents) provide $100 worth of ads, the proceeds to the teams will be close to $5,000. Please try to individually meet or exced this amount. We would like to have all contributions in by November 30, so that the ad book can be out early and often. Please note that through the genorosity and support for the East Hockey program, Brian Charlton's company has once again agreed to produce the ad books with no cost to the program. Therefore, 100% of the proceeds flow to our teams.
