Sunday, January 25We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic Mom’s, Dad’s, Grandmother’s, Grandfather’s and other great people who want to contribute to their children’s extra-curricular activities!
Team Managers in the WYSA program help their coach to make the teams playing experience extra special. You are your coach’s secret weapon helping with phone calls, snack organization for games and your team’s booth at Opening Day.
Team Manager Duties:
- Make sure you have been fingerprinted.
- Make a team banner (or order/buy one), and bring it to each game or get someone to. There will be a banner contest for the hand made banners.
- Distribute Team Roster, Practice and Game schedule.
- Create a team snack list. Alternate players to bring snacks for half time (orange slices or grapes) and end of the game (drink and fruit bar, crackers, etc). With bigger teams you could have one player bring half time snacks and another player bring end game snacks.
- Make a quarter bucket (collect a quarter from each family for every goal your team makes). Money is for the end of season party.
- Reminder calls.
- Help coach out. Some coaches have more than one team.
- Be another contact for the league.
- Organize an End of the Season Party. Decide where and what type of team party.
- Collect money from parents to buy gifts for the coaches at the end of the season (optional).
- Be a positive role model for the kids.
