The Wildcats made a valiant effort to get themselves into the playoffs over the last few games of the regular season, but on Friday night that all came to an end in Boissevain.

The first 10 minutes basically spelled the end of the season.  We got down 3 - 0 fast and were trailing 4 - 1 going into the 3rd.  Did the Broncos get a few bounces, this reporter would say yes, but its not like the Wildcats didn't have NUMEROUS scoring chances.  The attack zone time was in our favor, but we couldn't get one more past their tender.  A gutsy effort right down to the final buzzer was not enough.  A win and the boys could have ended up in 1st, but our 4 - 3 loss combined with a Killarney/Wawanesa tie in Neepawa meant the end of the season.  Like I said before..... it was a tight race!!!!!

A BIG thank-you goes out the players and parents for making this an enjoyable season.  Good luck to the graduates in their future hockey endeavours and for the rest of the boys/girl, we'll hopefully see you in the fall to do it all over again!!!
