11yr old District Team defeats East Greenwich 13-3 in 5 innings
11yr old district:
The team beat East Greenwich 13-3 in 5 innings on Thursday 9 July. Bobby Daly
pounded the strike zone and pitched all 5 innings. The game was tied 3-3 going
into the 4th inning until Remy Leduc slammed a towering 2-run homer over the
center field fence. His homer got the momentum going and the bats came alive in
the 5th where Wickford scored 7 runs. Dean Streich went 2-3 and Chris Guenev
went 3-4 with 3 RBI's. The team is now 2-0 in pool play and plays Coventry on
Sunday 12 July at 3:00 at Coventry.
