Alumni Division (Those born in '92,'93,'94; or high school seniors born in '91): $90.00

While the WHYBL is a coed league, there is also a separate division with only female participants. Parents/Guardians should determine which division is appropriate for their child. For further information on that division please contact Mike Zullo at 860 490-3753. All West Hartford residents and those attending West Hartford public and private schools are eligible to register.

All new, or returning players moving up to new age division, must attend one of the tryout sessions noted below. The sessions are used to rank players in basic basketball skills and assist in the formation of teams. All tryouts are held at the King Philip Middle School gymnasium (larger gymnasium) off Mohawk Dr.

Junior Division (Those born in 1996, 97 or 98)
1pm Saturday November 8, 2008 OR 9am Saturday November 22, 2009
New players need to attend only one session.

Senior Division (Those born in 1994 or 95)
2:30pm Sat Nov 8, 2008 OR 10:30am Sat Nov 22, 2008 OR 9am Sat Dec 6, 2008
New players need to attend only one session.

Alumni Division (Those born in 91, 92 or 93; or high school seniors born in 90)
11:30am Saturday November 22, 2008 OR 10:00 am Saturday December 6, 2008 OR 5:30pm Monday December 8, 2008 New players need to attend only one session.

Players returning to their previous team and division need only register not tryout

Saturday Oct 10 & 17th(Players should attend both)

6th Grade: 2:30 - 3:45 at King Philip

7th Grade: 4:00 - 5:15 at King Philip

8th Grade: 5:30 - 6:40 at King Philip

Welcome to the West Hartford Youth Basketball League's(WHYBL) Homepage. The WHYBL is a volunteer association made up of parents and other adults interested in promoting the sport of basketball. The objective of the league is to instill in youth the principles of good citizenship, good sportsmanship, and teamwork through knowledge of and association with the competitive sport of basketball. The WHYBL is associated with the All Sports Council of the Town of West Hartford.



Welcome to another exciting year of West Hartford Youth Basketball. We are expecting another great year and the coaches are chomping at the bit waiting for the first tip off. As an additional way to communicate with the parents, players and coaches we will continue to use this website. Check back throughout the next few months for details about the upcoming season and once the season begins this is the place for the most current news and information.
