4-year olds
Now Accepting 4-Year Olds
Little League International has recently voted to allow 4-year olds to play in the T-Ball division subject to local board approval. As a result, Whittier Little League has elected to allow 4-year olds to play in the T-Ball minor division only. All players must turn 4 years old no later than April 30, 2010, in order to be eligible to play.
You may register your 4-year olds now via on-line registration or at the next two Sign Ups on January 2nd and January 9th. If you have any questions, please e-mail them to www.whittierlittleleague@yahoo.com.

Orchard Dale Elementary is located at: 10625 Cole Road (on Cole Road between Lambert and Mulberry)
Late registration fees are as follows:
One Player -- $120.00
Two Players -- $205.00 ($85.00 for 2nd sibling)
Three Players -- $280.00 ($75.00 for 3rd sibling)
Four Players -- $345.00 ($65.00 for 4th sibling)
Junior Division fees are $135.00 per player and charged as first child if you have more than one player.
Late registration fees are an additional $15 per player from the early registration fee. However, you may continue to register online with the Early Registration fees ($120 for Jr. Division; $105 for all other divisions) -- a $9.35 processing fee will apply to the online registraiton. The online registration will only be available until January 2nd.
Additional players must be immediate family (i.e. brother/sister) and living in same residence to qualify for sliding scale discount. Your child's birth certificate will need to be seen and a copy retained by the league for age verification purposes.
Birth abstracts are no longer accepted per Little League regulations. Proof of residency is required for all new and returning players.
Parents: If you are interested in Managing or Coaching a team, applications are due by November 14, 2009. Please fill out an application when you register your child.

WHITTIER LITTLE LEAGUE GENERAL INFORMATION
WHITTIER LITTLE LEAGUE GENERAL INFORMATION Parents have called requesting information about our league regarding practices, game times, and locations. Information on these topics can be found on this website. Here is some general information about Whittier Little League. All our games will be played at Orchard Dale Elementary located on the corner or Mulberry Drive and Cole Road. Our Junior Division (ages 13 & 14) play at York Field. Our season usually begins on the first week of March and runs through the first week of June. Games are held on Saturdays at the beginning of the season with weekday games (Monday-Thursday) beginning once Daylight Savings time occurs. Practices are usually held twice a week at local schools or parks. The location, days, and times are set by the Manager of the team. T-Ball Players (ages 5 to 7) do not attend try-outs. They are automatically placed on a team. T-Ball Minor and T-Ball Major divisions are considered developmental, and the fundamentals of Little League Baseball are taught to these players. Players, ages 8 and older, will have to a attend try-outs which take place in early January. Each player needs to try-out in his/her age group but can request to try-out at the next level if the parent feels that his/her abilities are suited for the next level. Try-outs at the next level do not guarantee placement at the next level. Selected managers and a league representative will evaluate each player's abilities and will use that information to draft players during the division's draft. All drafts and teams should be formed by the end of January (provided the weather holds out and scheduled try-outs proceed) so teams can start their practices during the month of February. Teams should be ready for play and to start the season the first week of March.
