2012 Spring Season: Slots expected to fill fast!

**Minor & Major Tryouts Saturday, Feb 4th beginning at 8am. Please show up equipped to play baseball 20-30 minutes prior to your scheduled tryout time to warm up.**

Final Late Registration Date:

•   Saturday, February 4th at Gateway Park (El Mirage Rd. between Olive & Peoria) from 8am to 2pm. There is a $10 late registration fee. Limited spots are available and will be on a first come first serve basis.

Bring the following with you to register:

• 3 different proofs of residency within WTLL boundaries (see boundary map tab). Examples: Drivers license, utility bill, vehicle registration, lease forms, insurance documents etc.
• Birth certificate (for viewing)
• Cash or Check payment to WTLL
• Optional: If you want to coach or volunteer please bring a copy of your drivers license, a volunteer application form (found in handout tab or offered at registration table), and a coaches application. Background checks are required per LL International.

Cost & Information Per Division:

Please note:

• All divisions are responsible for selling a box of Worlds Famous Chocolate as our league fundraiser. You may opt out by paying $25 at registration.
• League age is determined by how old the child will be by April 30th 2012.
• Season: Practices begin late Feb, games begin early April, regular season ends late May, post season tournaments begin in June, All Stars play June-July and perhaps further depending on wins.
• Includes jersey top & hat (MLB teams)
• Players in Minors & above may be drafted to an All Star Team.
• Minors & Majors play in post season tournaments (not All Star related).

Tball $65: Ages 4-7. If you child has never played this division is highly recommended for safety and learning purposes. Expect to play at least 2 times a week between games & practices.                                                                                                                                                                                                    Farm (coach pitch) $75: Ages 6-8. Only players with previous tball experience may enter at age 6. More experienced 8 year olds may attend a tryout for Minors if you desire. Children not drafted to a minor team will be automatically placed on a Farm team. If you child has never played baseball and is 7-8 this division is highly recommended. Expect to play at least 2-3 times per week between games & practices.

Minors (kid pitch) $100: Ages 8-11. Players must attend a tryout to be drafted to a Minor team. Players not drafted will be placed on a Farm team. If your child is 10-11 and has had many years experience in baseball they may tryout for Majors as well. This division is highly recommended for children 10 years old with little baseball experience. Expect to play 3-4 times a week between games & practices.

Majors $100: Ages 10-12. All children must attend a tryout for Minors or Majors. Children not drafted to a Major team will be automatically placed in Minors. Children 10 years old rarely are placed on a Major team. Expect to play 3-4 times a week between games & practices.

Juniors $140: Ages 13-14. Must attend a tryout. Players will play games at Peoria Sports Complex but practice locally. Expect to play 3-4 times a week between games & practices.

Seniors $140: Ages 13-16 Must attend a tryout. Players will play games at Peoria Sports Complex but practice locally. Expect to play 3-4 times a week between games & practices.

The Red Sox led by Coach Geruso went undefeated in the regular season 16-0! They also battled in the post season tournament with Rio Vista & placed 2nd!
