"WELCOME!"

Welcome to the UCH Sharks Oldpersons Website! This site has been created to provide News, Information and Contact Details for any current or prospective Whales, or for anybody else that happened to stumble across it!!! We do update this site occasionally (well, at least once a year!) and we would appreciate any input/feedback you may have - just don't be too brutal with your comments!

"PYJAMA PARTY - OBW '08 (TM)"
Bedtime attire means pyjamas, Pete, not Hi Karate and a smile....

BLUBBER!

As the annual extraveganza moves ponderously ever-closer, just like an Oldboy homing in on a cheerleader on the Bev Roader, thoughts also turn to that most glorious of tomes, Blubber. As you will know, Jase rode off, John Wayne-like (i.e. old and bandy-legged) in to the sunset, leaving Sam to pick up the reins. (See how I cleverly continued the equine allusion there?) In the spirit of editing Blubber, he's not panicking - this only comes 3 days before publication with the realisation that we have 2 articles (one of them the same as last year, with some different names thrown in) and an advert for a Grifter for sale. However, it's always worth asking - if you have any articles would you please send them to Sam or Colin, who, having escaped the Blubber's gravitational pull some years ago, has been dragged in to assist in whatever way possible. Remember - Blubber's only as good as articles you send in (oh good grief...).

"WELCOME PROSPECTIVE WHALES!"

As the forthcoming OBW may have brought home your Sharkly mortality, there may be the pang of loss at no longer wearing the label of 'Shark' in the not-too-distant future. However, fear not - you will be able to sport the infinitely more trendy/durable label of 'Whale'. It says so much about you - I'm not poor, I'm happy with my weight, I'm entitled to make a prat of myself once a year (at least).

So, don't be a stranger - prepare to revel in your new-found Whaleness. Let me know if there's anything you want on here, and, if you haven't already, let Charlie or Jools have your address details so you don't miss out on next year's bash.

If you fancy a peek at our younger cousins' foray in to cyber space take a look at this link:

"WHERE ARE YOU NOW...?"

If you'd like anything witty/defamatory/true (?) putting in as a personal profile for you in 'Where are they now' just drop me an email and I'll pop it in for you (phnarr). This goes particularly for the younger Whales out there as I haven't updated the list in ages.

Anything else you want to tell us - requests, suggestions, or just general spleen venting - contact us on
colin_hancock2@yahoo.co.uk

So, read on (and weep)....
