When is the best time to do something nice for a bunch of kids that really deserve it? The holidays? Their birthday? Right now; thats when! Theres a group of really deserving kids in Fullerton that sure could use your help. Every year the all-volunteer West Fullerton Little League Board of Directors struggles to raise enough money to cover the basic needs of the kids in our program. And it seems every year the league barely makes it, thanks in large part to sacrifices by our families due to underfunding. From the littlest T-Ball Player, to the biggest Majors Player, the volunteers of the West Fullerton Little League (WFLL) do everything possible to outfit the players. This alone, severely taxes our budget, right from the outset. In these difficult economic conditions it is clear that many children in our community may never have the chance to play if we do not help outfit these kids. In fact, no kid has ever been nor will be turned away from the WFLL because their parents cannot afford the Little League fees, or buy a uniform. Many families in our community are without the extra money needed to let their children enjoy Little League Baseball. Our philosophy is: bring it on, we will make do. Unfortunately, that means sacrifices on everything from field equipment, materials and supplies to baseballs and the equipment needed to just play the game, to mention just a few. Here is where you come in! This year, we have decided that enough is enough, the kids of West Fullerton deserve a little more. So, we have decided to swallow our pride and ask some well known community supported local business, and corporations for some much needed assistance in helping give the WFLL and the kids in this community that love to play Little League Baseball, a much needed home run donation, right over the centerfield fence. We, the Board of the WFLL are asking you to step up to the plate, and hit one out for the kids. Youll feel great; hitting a homer always does, especially when it means so much for the kids that really need it. Please consider a donation of $2,500 or more, but any generous donation would be greatly welcomed. In appreciation for your generosity, we will honor you or your company with a either a plaque or a banner with your name or company logo, prominently displayed at our Majors field, depending upon the level of donation and support.
