Warwick Fire Fighters Soccer Club Higher Education Scholarship Program 

The Warwick Fire Fighters Soccer Club (WFFSC) is pleased to announce the formation of the Warwick Fire Fighters Soccer Club Scholarship Program.  This year, the Program is pleased to announce that the WFFSC will sponsor two $500 scholarships for higher education.  These scholarships will be awarded to two High School seniors who have participated in the WFFSC.

The purpose of these scholarships is to provide financial assistance to two WFFSC players who desire to continue their education beyond high school.

To qualify to receive the scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

• You must be a High School Senior graduating this academic year
• You must have participated in four seasons of play in WFFSC programs, including recreational and/or select play.  Indoor seasons to do not count towards the four seasons.  Additionally, playing both recreational and select soccer in one season only counts as one season towards the required four seasons of participation
• You must be matriculating in a program of higher education beginning in the Fall, 2009.

The applicant must fill out the brief application form and provide an essay of 500 words or less discussing some aspect of their involvement in WFFSC and what it has meant to them.

The deadline for submitting applications is August 1, 2009.  The WFFSC Board will designate a Selection Committee to review the applications and determine the 2009 recipients of the scholarships.
