The dates for this year's sports fairs are March 19th @ Ostrander and March 20th for Leptondale and Plattekill. The times last year were 9:05 to 10:30am (subject to change this year) We hope to have grades 2-6 present for these dates. We need coaches to assist on these mornings.
Presentations are made by the WFCA at these Elementary Schools during the scheduled Sports Fairs. These Sports Fairs had the varsity level sports programs making presentations to the elementary students. Head Varsity Football Coach Brian Vegliando has highlight film's and will bring equipment to these sports fairs in the elementary schools. Brian and/or Varsity coaches have conducted this presentation in conjunction with the Wallkill Youth Football Program to recruit young players for youth football. Board Members of the WFCA will assist in these presentations. We want to get the youth of Wallkill to play together as a unit from elementary school through their senior year of high school. We are working together as one K-12 program to get the kids focused on playing on Friday Nights. The Sports Fairs are a model pilot of an event that will continue to grow in the future. The vision of this board has lead this event to the benefit of all the youth and sports programs in Wallkill. We want to continue to be leaders in our community as advocates of our children and sports.
Youth Football Registrations will be on monday March 23rd from 6pm-9pm and saturday April 4th from 9am-12pm at the High School cafeteria
