Skills Clinics

West Valley Slammers is offering several clinics this year to help the girls develop their softball skills. Some of the clinics have already begun. We still have availability for our Catchers Clinic.

Group Pitching Clinic
When: 5 consecutive Saturdays (Jan 7, Jan 14, Jan 21, Jan 28, Feb 4, Feb 11, Feb 18) beginning at 9:00am. (note date changes) Where: Bagby Elementary field 1 Group 1: 9:00 - 9:40 Group 2: 9:45 - 10:25 Group 3: 10:30 - 11:10 Group 4: 11:15 - 11:55 Group 5: 12:00 - 12:40
Group Catchers Clinic (sign up)	$20 per player
When: Saturday, February 4, beginning at 11:00am Where: Cutting Edge Softball Facility
Group Hitting Clinic (wait list)	$20 per player
When: Saturday, February 11 Group 1: 1:00 - 2:30pm Group 2: 2:30 - 4:00pm Where: Cutting Edge Softball Facility

 

Notes:

• Be sure to sign up at any of the Registration Events prior to the clinic
• Either mail a check to: PO Box 7413, San Jose, CA 95110, or stop by one of the Registration Events prior to the clinic to pay by cash or credit card

Volunteers Needed!

February Field Clean-Up Days will be Sunday 2/12 & Sunday 2/26 from 8am - 3pm each day and that we are looking for volunteers to come out and lend a hand!

Also, we're looking for parent volunteers who specialize in general construction / electrical / landscaping / cyclone fence replacement / dump truck and tractor owner

Immediate need

• Replacement of wood base boards & backstops on all 4 fields.
• Replacement/new construction of sprinkler valves & boxes of fields 2-4.
• Relocation of all 4 sprinklers along outer edge of fields 2-4.
• Recondition infield lip & warm up mounds of all 4 fields.
• Removal of weeds along warm up boxes, dugouts and backstops.
• Graffiti removal on conex box at field 3 and on bathroom.
• Anyone who has access to an ATV to spike drag infields.

Future Ideas

• Redesign snack shack (electrical upgrade & shelving)
• Barbecue area w/ wind break
• Shipping container for future storage
