To provide a healthy atmosphere in which players can develop on 5 core values: Skill Development, Teamwork, Sportsmanship, Competition, and Leadership. Within these core values is the determination and commitment to be one of the best and most recognized Junior Volleyball Clubs in the State of Iowa. We pride ourselves on the commitment and dedication to the sport of volleyball.
5 CORE VALUES
Skill Development – Our focus is to provide our players with guidance and coaching that will allow for skill improvement and development. We tailor our individual skill work based on the player, as well as the age/skill level.
Teamwork – We feel that teamwork is needed in all aspects of life. Volleyball is a team sport, in which every member contributes, whether they are on or off the court. We encourage and coach our players to focus on their team contributions.
Sportsmanship – Westside Select is committed to providing a sportsmanlike environment for players, parents, and coaches. We are devoted to teaching and conducting ourselves with fairness, courtesy and respect to all competitors, referees, and others.
Competition – We believe that providing a competitive environment will strengthen our member’s drive to become the best they can be; both as an individual and as a team player.
Leadership – This a function of knowing yourself, having a vision that is well communicated, building trust among your team players, and taking effective action to realize your own leadership potential. We provide an environment for our players to exercise their leadership qualities, at what ever level they may be.
