Welcome to the Greater West Shore Baseball League: The Midstate's Home to 50/70 Baseball!!!

Click for Camp Hill, Pennsylvania ForecastThe goal of GWSBL is to provide the West Shore youth with fair and wholesome baseball competition, a better understanding and appreciation of the game, and the development of applicable skills. The Greater West Shore Baseball League offers a supervised and scheduled program of baseball contests with special emphasis on leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Greater West Shore Baseball is the midstate's home to Cal Ripken 12u 50/70' baseball! The “50/70” represents the dimensions to the Majors’ (12u) level playing field. Specifically, the pitching distance from the pitching rubber to home plate is increased from the antiquated traditional little league size of 46 feet to 50 feet, and the distance between the bases is increased from 60 feet to 70 feet. The 50/70 game offers a higher level of baseball as majors (12u) level players are introduced to taking leads, holding runners on, pick-offs and balks. Moreover, with today's advanced baseball and bat technology, and the fact that players today are stronger and developing faster than ever, the 50/70 dimensions provide a safer and fairer environment for kids of all skill levels.

If your childs wants to play real baseball at 12u, contact Upper Allen Baseball Association (Mechanicsburg School District) or Cedar Cliff Youth Baseball Association (West Shore School District) to register.
