Welcome to West Sacramento Little League

There will be 2 player assessment dates for the 2012 Little League season.  The dates are:

Saturday, February 11. Ages 7-9 start at 9:00am. Ages 10-12 start at 11:30am

Saturday February 18. Ages 7-9 start at 9:00am. Ages 10-12 start at 11:00am

Please note that all players wanting to play AA, AAA and Majors divisions will have to be assessed in order to play this year, including returning players.

*** T-ball, A and Juniors do not need to attend player assessments.

There is a WSLL Memorial Park work party schedueld for this Saturday (Jan 28) at 9:00am to work on preparing our facilities for the upcoming Player Assessment dates in February and for field upkeep and maintenance.

Bring your shovels, brooms, rakes, wheelbarrows, tools and come support the league!

ALL PLAYERS MUST SHOW PROOF OF RESIDENCY EITHER VIA IN PERSON AT A WALK IN REGISTRATION DATE OR BY MAIL TO WSLL - P.O. BOX 155, WEST SACRAMENTO, CA 95691, OR SCANNED/EMAILED TO PLAYER AGENT. *** No player will be allowed to participate in the Player Assessments until the three (3) prrof of residency requirements have been fulfilled.

Residence Eligibility Requirements for all divisions of play has been amended to read, in part:

Residence shall be established and supported by documents, dated or in force between February 1, 2011 (previous year) and February 1, 2012 (current year), from THREE OR MORE of the following categories to determine residency of such parent(s) or guardian:

Summary and Implementation:  For the 2012 season, this requires players’ parents or guardians to provide residency documentation dated or in force between February 1, 2011 (previous year) and February 1, 2012 (current year). This means, for instance, that a Driver’s License that was issued a number of years earlier, but was in force between the dates noted, is acceptable. However, a utility bill that is dated outside of the dates noted, is not acceptable.

The WSLL Board of Directors has voted to have the Major Division teams for 2012  implement a single pool Managers Draft process.  

All players (returning Major players, new players, and or players moving up from the minor divisions) will be drafted out of the same pool. There will be a redraft of all returning major players. 

This draft method will be consistent within all divisions of play for the 2012 season. 

All players in a hardball division (all divisions with the exception of T-ball) will participate in a Player Assessment process in February. 

The WSLL Board's goal is to create parity, increase competitiveness within each division, and to make the league stronger as a whole by spreading out available league support resources. We believe these goals are consistent with this decision.

Just a reminder that we share our park with neighbors.  Please be respectful of the property of others.

REMINDER: DO NOT park on the corners of the streets surrounding the playing fields.  The West Sacramento Police Department has been issuing warnings and WILL WRITE CITATIONS for parking on the corners of the streets.  Thank you for your cooperation!
