PRESENTING THE WEST PINES UNITED F.C. 2007-2008 GIRLS U18 PREMIER TEAM:

Returning players: Holly Bain (Miami Springs High School), Brittany Bucknor (University of Miami), Jessica Drew (Miami Springs High School), Brooke Freeman (Western High), Liz Holmberg (Everglades High), Kayla Johnson (Cypress Bay), Allie Llaneras (Miami Springs High School), Melissa Malone (American Heritage), Chelsea Mosko (Nova High), April Perry (Hollywood Hills), Heather Rice (PineCrest), Sara Ruggiero (Cypress Bay), Allison Sapp, and Marisa Vargas. (Cypress Bay) Our newest players (former WPU player) Sarah Crow (Cypress Bay), Christina Mulhern (West Boca High), Dina Roper (Pembroke Pines Charter), Macarena Santos (PineCrest) and Tiffany Marshall (St. Thomas Aquinas). And better late than never - Maddie Espinosa (Miami Springs). Again an outstanding squad, full of promise for the upcoming successful final season.

06-07 U17 Team: Holly Bain, Brittany Bucknor, Jessica Drew, Maddie Espinosa, Brooke Freeman, Liz Holmberg, Kayla Johnson, Allie Llaneras, Melissa Malone, Chelsea Mosko, April Perry, Heather Rice, and Allison Sapp. Returning after a year off at basketball Yvonne Houston and our newest players: Kristen Clough, Sara Ruggiero, and Marisa Vargas. And joining us for state cup, back-up goalkeeper Denisse Montero (welcome). Awesome team, great promise, exciting season ahead. Congratulations to all the girls.

First Tournament - Score at the Shore, July 22-25 Greensboro NC. Watch out college coaches, here we come! Quarter-Finalists, not bad with 11 players playing 5 games in 52 hours!

FIRST TOURNAMENT WIN - Melbourne Labor Day Challenge, September 1-4, 2006 Merritt Island, Florida - CHAMPIONS !!! Again 5 games in 53 hours but this time with the full squad, great job ladies.

AWESOME SHOWING AT SCORE AT THE SHORE TAMPA COLLEGE SHOWCASE ! February 17-19, 2007
5 games in 45 hours at 45 degrees (and less) ! Three wins, two ties, no losses, only one goal against, 1 winning PK shootout, 1 losing PK shootout. Semi-Final loss to the eventual champions. Impressed many college coaches. Thanks again to repeat guest player Katrina Rose. Great time had by all.

STATE CUP ROUND 1 - Had most of our injured players back and made a good showing against the #1 and #2 teams in the state. Made it through to Round 2, don't count us out yet! ROUND 2 - Awesome three games. Looking forward to our matchup with Team Boca in Sweet 16. Outplayed Team Boca but lost in the last four minutes.
