Fall Ball 2009
This is always the most enjoyable time of the year to play baseball. Last fall we had over 150 kids!
Grades 7/8/9- Sundays at 1:00pm => Justin's Sunday Extras. Get some licks in before the snow comes - Justin will work you out, then split the group in two for a live game - begins Sunday 9/13 - cost $40 for the season - you must register to play...come when you can. Manager: Justin Miller - baberuth@westonbaseball.org Grades 1 & 2 - Fall Sandlot - Will play Sunday afternoons at 1:00pm through October. This is a great chance for your kids to get a few extra swings and a few more chances in the field. Coaches will pitch in this league to keep things moving for everyone. The goal here is some fun Sunday baseball before the leaves fall. REGISTER BEFORE AUGUST 28TH HERE Grades 3-5 - Fall Cup - Will play one game per week on Sunday afternoons at 3:00 pm through October - the leagues will be structured by school grade. Kids will be pitching and scores will be kept. REGISTER BEFORE AUGUST 28TH HERE Fall Travel Ball REGISTER BEFORE AUGUST 28TH HERE Majors teams are mostly 11-12 year olds (Based on chart below) AAA teams are mostly 9-10 year olds (based on chart below) AA team is mostly 8-9 year olds (based on chart below) REGISTER ASAP AND INDICATE INTEREST IN TRAVEL BALL WHERE SHOWN Our Fall Travel teams are in the NELL Fall League with opponents from Newton, Needham, Belmont, Brookline and Weston. Beginning in early September, two games per week are played (one weekday and one on Sunday) for six weeks. The fall programs are extremely important for player's development, since they are more or less the equivalent of another season of experience. For purposes of the fall league, participants must be age eligible for the 2010 Little League Spring Season (see table below). 10-12 YEAR OLDS FOR MAJORS AND AAA: TEAMS WILL BE ASSIGNED BY THE COACHING COMMITTEE BASED ON PLAYER EVALUATIONS FROM PREVIOUS SEASONS. (NOTE:YOU MAY BE PLACED ON A FALL CUP TEAM IF IT IS THE BEST FIT FOR YOU.) THESE ROSTERS MAY FILL-UP QUICKLY AND YOU SHOULD CONSIDER THIS A FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED PROGRAM. REGISTER BEFORE AUGUST 28TH HERE 8-9 YEAR OLDS (based on chart below) FOR AA AND AAA AND THERE WILL BE AN EVALUATION SESSION ON SEPT 2ND TO INSURE THAT THE PLAYER'S SKILL-LEVEL IS APPROPRIATE FOR THE PROGRAM. (NOTE:YOU MAY BE PLACED ON A FALL CUP OR SANDLOT TEAM IF IT IS THE BEST FIT FOR YOU.) IF YOUR CHILD IS 8 OR 9 (based on chart below) AND WOULD LIKE TO BE EVALUATED FOR A FALL TRAVEL TEAM, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO REGISTER EARLY AND ATTEND THE EVALUATION SESSION.
