The National League is the highest level of Little League played in Weston.
All players that wish to be eligible to be drafted to a National League (NL) team MUST attend one of the evaluation sessions to be held in January. More details will follow later. Eligibility: It has been our practice for many years to allow every player the opportunity to play in the NL for at a minimum their last year in Little League. Due to a change in the age-determination-date by Little League International to April 30th, our NL eligibility guidelines have been modified slightly to continue this practice. In years past, sixth graders were automatically placed in the NL if they came to a tryout session. This was always based on the assumption that sixth grade represented the last year in Little League for each player. With the league eligibility date change, this is no longer the case as many seventh graders are now eligible for Little League play as 12 year-olds. Our new guidelines allow for League-Age 12 children to receive a automatic NL roster spot upon attending a tryout session. League age is determined as the player's age on April 30th of the spring season in question. Who is eligible for NL play and MUST attend an evaluation to be draft-eligible: You are eligible if at least one of the following is true: A) Regardless of school grade, you will be 12 years-old on (or before) April 30th, 2009 - AND wish to be considered in the NL draft - You are automatically eligible for play in the NL and will be drafted IF YOU ATTEND AN EVALUATION SESSION (there will be no exceptions) OR..
