Majors
Majors (ages 9-12) is an instructional and competitive division. Players are assigned to the division based on skill. All players bat and play in the field each game. Coach interaction during games is limited to allow full participation by the players. Standings, championships, and All-Star tournament play are part of the program, with the possibility of advancing to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA. Teams usually have two (sometimes three) games per week plus at least one practice. The season ends with playoffs in mid-June. All-Stars play through July. T-Ball T-Ball (ages 5 & 6) is an instructional division that introduces the youngest players to team play and the rules of baseball. A soft "Incrediball"-type ball is hit off a tee. Outs, runs, and standings are not recorded. All players field and bat each inning. The coaches are in the field giving immediate support and instruction throughout each game. Teams usually play one game per week. Juniors Juniors (ages 13-14) is an instructional division with the introduction of a full-size diamond, "leading off," and base stealing. A regulation Senior-League-approved hard ball is used. Standings, championships, and All-Star tournament play are part of the program. Teams usually have two games per week plus at least one practice. The season ends with playoffs in mid-June. All-Stars play through July. Minors Minors (ages 9-12) is an instructional division with the introduction of competitive standings and championship play. All players remain in the batting order and participate in the field. Full Little League Baseball rules are in effect. Pitching is by opposing team players using a regulation, Little-League-approved hard ball. Teams usually have two games per week plus at least one practice. The season ends with playoffs in mid-June. Occasionally, very skilled minors are invited to participate in the Majors level All-Stars session which plays through July. Farm Farm (ages 7 & 8) is an instructional division that provides skill training and an opportunity for team participation. All players participate equally in games. Pitching is provided by the coach using a soft "Incrediball"-type ball. Outs are recorded but runs and standings are not. Teams usually have two games per week plus one practice. |
