Cincinnati Flames

Have you ever considered coming to Cincinnati to play baseball. This year's 12U CABA Ultimate World Series is in Cincinnati, OH (July 22-30). I wanted to share some information with you regarding this tournament which is anticipated to bring some of the best teams each state has to offer through qualifying tournaments and at-large bids based on qualifications. This year's tournament already has commitments from teams from CA, NV, WA, CT, GA, TN, KY, IN, IL, MI, OH and Puerto Rico.

The CABA (Continental Amateur Baseball Association) 12-year-old Ultimate World Series opens with a banquet on Friday, pool play runs Saturday through Monday, and double elimination starts Tuesday with teams being eliminated very quickly after that. Weather permitting, the tournament will complete on Friday. Typically, teams will play a minimum of 7 games with the final number based on the actual number of teams in the tournament.

What I would also like to share with you is a little background about our community. This year we will be playing the tournament at the new West Chester Baseball Complex which will include grass infields designed specifically to 12U CABA dimensions. The umpiring crew we will be using is also top notch. Last season they won the CABA award as the best umpire crew in all the World Series hosted. The West Chester area is a very nice suburb approximately 20 minutes north of downtown Cincinnati and provides plenty to do away from the ballpark including taking in a Reds game, Kings Island Amusement Park, the Beach Water Park, museums, plenty of excellent public golf courses as well as affordable hotels and restaurants.

The registration packets or online registration form can be found at http://CABAUltimate12.cincyflames.org/ along with other useful information, including drawings of the new complex and specific teams already committed.

Good luck this season !
