Little League International Revises the Pitching Rules (again) for 2008 (click here for link to Little League Int'l website)

Little League International has revised the pitching rules that first went into effect during the 2007 season. Starting with the 2008 season, the following rules will be in place: any player removed from the pitcher position cannot play the position of catcher for the remainder of the day; any pitcher who delivers 41 or more pitches in a game must also have a game of rest, in addition to the number of days rest prescribed; the automatic intentional walk was removed, meaning that if a pitcher wishes to intentionally walk a batter, he/she must do so by pitching four pitches. All such pitches will count in determining that pitcher's pitch count.
