The SA Athletic League is the controlling body of professional athletics in South Australia.
ADELAIDE HARRIERS ATHLETIC CLUB
ADELAIDE HARRIERS is primarily a running club based in the south parklands and caters mainly for middle & long distance runners at the senior and veterans/masters level.
ELIZABETH ATHLETIC CLUB
One of SA's smaller athletic clubs with less than 20 competing members. Elizabeth has a tradition in the walking events. Nationally ranked walker, Darren Bown is the club's number one athlete.
Its colours are red, white and blue.
PORT ADELAIDE ATHLETIC CLUB
Port Adelaide is based at Iversen Reserve off Grange Road, Port Adelaide.
SALISBURY ATHLETIC CLUB
Salisbury AC's website is one of the better SA club sites. Salisbury is among the top three clubs in SA.
The club is based in Rundle Road, Salisbury East.

BOX HILL ATHLETIC CLUB (VIC)
Victoria's most successful athletic club and one of the largest in Australia. Box Hill has one of the best Athletic Club websites available, being constantly updated with results, the monthly newsletter and general information. In 2003/2004, Box Hill Men's team won its third consecutive State League championship and finished 2nd in the National Club Championships.

Western's has a long standing relationship with Glenhuntly through the annual A A Theobald Challenge.
