Club Presentation Night

Open Womens Relay Medallists
The Open Women won both the 4 x 100m and the 4 x 200m at the State Relay Championships in December. Here are four members of the winning teams. From left is Leanne (100m/200m), Danielle (100m/200m), Brooke (100m) & Sarah (200m).
Amnda Watts (100m/200m) was absent.
Under 14 Boy's Relay Medallists
The Boy's under 14 Relay Team won three gold medals - 4 x 100m, 4 x 200m & the 800m Medley. Here are two of the lads - Tom (left) and Ben.
Under Girl's Pole Vault Relay
The Under 16 Girls won the Pole Vault Relay gold medal, from left - Sally, Naomi & Sarah.
Under 16 Girl's 4 x 200m
Gold Medallists in the Under 16 Girl's 4 x 200m at the State Relay titles, from left - Lucy, Steph & Emma. The girls (including Bianca Gray) ran 1-49.32.
Under 16 B Girl's 4 x 200m Relay
Westerns won the gold and bronze medals in the Under 16 Girl's 4 x 200m Relay. Here are three members of the bronze medal winning team - Sally, Rhiannon & Beth.
Under 16 Men's Most Valuable Athlete
After winning the Under 14 award last season, Casey Whitaker won the Under 16 Most Valuable athlete award.
This year Casey won three gold medals in the Under 16 state championships, over 100m, 200m and 400m.
Under 20 Men's Most Valuable Athlete
Anthony Simons won the club's Under 20 Most Valuable Athlete for scoring the most interclub points. Anthony broke the club's Under 20 Pole Vault record, winning the silver medal in the State Open title.
Over 35 Men's Most Valuable Athlete
Clarrie Whitaker won the Most Interclub Points award for the second successive season. Clarrie competed in seven events at the State championships, winning 6 medals, including two gold medals.
League Athlete Awards
Western District enjoyed a tremendous season in the SA Athletic League, winning the Premier Club and the Club Novice Athlete Awards. Andrew Camilleri won the sprinter of the year and tied for the long sprint athlete award, with Leon Burckhardt. Clay Among the 34 sashes won during the season, Clay Watkins won the Bay Sheffield.
