Weather Policy

The All Star Weather Policy per District 9 is as follows:

  • The only difference is games may proceed in a Thunderstorm or Tornado Watch.  See below for all other weather situations.

The Severe Weather Policy is as follows:

  • In the event of Thunder and/or Lightning:  ALL players MUST be removed from the playing field.  They may be kept in the dugouts with at least one coach in attendance.  They may be released to their parents.
  • Play must be halted until severe weather has cleared the area.
  • Play must not be resumed until 20 minutes have passed without another strike of thunder or lighting.

If a Severe Thunderstorm Warning and / or Tornado Warning/Watch are in effect ½ hour prior to the arrival of teams at the fields for games, all games Must be cancelled.

At no time should the safety of our players and their families be compromised.  A coach’s failure to follow this rule will be subject to disciplinary action, which may result in suspension of one game.

In the event of rain, please arrive at the field for the normal scheduled game.  We can make the determination for cancellation at or near game time.
