WV Birth Certificates
The West Virginia Vital Registration Program is the state-level custodian of birth certificates for people born anywhere in West Virginia or born to West Virginia residents from 1917 to date. The Vital Registration Program issues certified copies of birth certificates from the original certificate on file. Certified copies are legal proof of age, U.S. citizenship, and parentage. As such, they are accepted by local, state, and federal governments as legal proof for applying for: social security numbers, driver's licenses, entrance to schools, entrance to military, marriage licenses, U.S. passports, retirement benefits, etc.

Institute for International Sport
Founded in 1986 by Daniel E. Doyle, Jr., the IIS recently celebrated its 17th anniversary. The basic concept of the Institute was rooted in Doyle's overseas experiences in the 60's and 70's. While traveling in Europe and visiting Cuba as the head men's basketball coach of Trinity College in 1979, Doyle saw the power of sport as a medium to foster friendship and goodwill. Doyle turned his vision into a reality while studying at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, drafting a thesis that outlined what is now the Institute for International Sport (IIS).
