The Eagles capped their season by clinching THIRD PLACE in STATE in a 3-2
over time victory over SERVICE Saturday afternoon in Wasilla.

WEST FALLS TO DIMOND
In Round 2 of the State Tournament Friday Night, the Eagles lost 4-1 to Dimond.
WEST now takes on Service at 12:30 pm this afternoon for the Third Place Trophy.
WEST SOARS OVER WASILLA
The Eagles came out on top in ROUND One of the STATE TOURNAMENT
Thursday night beating Wasilla 5-2.
WEST takes on DIMOND tonight at 8 pm in Wasilla.

Saturday February 3
West's run for the top of the record-book ended with disappointment
after losing 4-0 to South in the Championship Game of the Cook Inlet
Conference. This was the first time since 1990 that the Eagles made
it to the final round of Regions.
The Eagles now head to the STATE Championship seeded in Second Place.
West is slated to take on the Tournament host team, Wasilla, Thursday Night at
7:30 pm at the WSC.
CHAMPIONSHIP BOUND!!!
Thursday February 1
WEST HIGH EAGLES are now heading into the CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND of the CIC
playoffs after polishing off DIMOND Thursday night in a hard-fought
double-overtime victory.
Tyler Spaan evened up the score to 1-1 early in the third period with a
laser shot over the shoulder of Dimond's Goalie. Eagle Goalie
Andrew Tatham fought off an onslaught of Lynx shots in both over-time rounds.
With just 30 seconds left on the clock, Nick Merkle bolted past the Lynx Goalie
and sniped in the WINNING SHOT at a nearly impossible angle.
WEST is now set take on SOUTH Saturday Night at Ben Boeke for the
CIC Championship.
WEST LOCKS ITS SPOT FOR STATE!
Monday January 29
In Round One of CIC action WEST SHUT OUT Bartlett 3-0.
The victory assures West a slot in the State Playoffs next week.
The Eagles now advance to the next round in Cook Inlet Conference
play set for Thursday.
WEST KEEPS SOUTH TIED UP IN OVERTIME
Saturday January 27
Varsity wrapped up its final game of the regular season
by rattling undefeated South with a fast-moving, hard-hitting 0-0 game.
West's tough showing put the team back into SECOND PLACE
for the season in the Cook Inlet Conference.

Wednesday 12/13 West saw two goals waved off in a the close non-conference pairing with the Mustangs.
West SOARS Over Eagle River 12-0
Thursday 12/7 West Varsity dominated Eagle River to rack up yet one more victory on its winning roll.
West Clips East 8-5
Monday 11/20
The Eagles Varsity scored early and often to rally the Thunderbirds in
the second CIC victory of the season.
Eagles Take Down West Valley 9 - 6
Wednesday 11/30
West Valley got the first goal of the game, but the WEST Varsity Eagles
got the most goals when it was all over in the highest scoring game of
the season...so far.
Eagles Claw Bears 5-1
Monday 12/5 Bartlett got the first one of the night but
couldn't find the net again as West Varsity sliced
through for a total of 5 on the board along with a
barrage of shots on goal against the Bears.
