2006 2nd Annual Hit-A-Thon Home-run Derby Championship
The West Douglas Baseball Academy (WDBA) will host the 2nd Annual Hit-A-Thon & Home Run Derby at Alexander High School Field Fri evening Oct 27th 2006. The WDBA is supporting four HS teams this fall with almost all players attending Alexander High School.
WDBA started the Home Run Hit-A-Thon Derby in 2005 and was a huge success with over 40 players entering the contest to see who could hit the most Home Runs as well as the longest distance. There were three different divisions to make sure all players were grouped in the correct division giving everyone and equal chance to win the contest.

RULES:
You will be pitched to, any swing regardless of a foul or miss will count towards your number of swings. Any swing resulting in a missed ball, foul ball or ball that does not clear the determined HR distance will be scored as an out. In order for a ball to count it must be a hit in fair territory. The total number of fair balls will be counted. In case of a tie, a hit-off will be required to determine a winner in each age division. You may use any bat you chose regardless of weight to ratio. In order for a home run to be counted, it must be hit within the HR Zone you listed above before your swings for your age division. A player may play up but you cannot play in a younger age division!
East player was allowed to take 10 swings with all fair balls counting. After all players in each division have taken their turns the player with the most Home-Runs in their division will be awarded a cash prize. Note: For 2006 WDBA players the longest hit ball you have will count towards your sponsors amount due based on the pledge per foot from your sponsor.
