West Chester Wildfire: League News

Our 10U, 12U, and 14U Tournament Teams took the Lionville Mane Event Tournament by storm over Father’s Day weekend, winning the championship titles in two of the divisions, and capturing the silver medal in the third division!

Our 12U’s got it started by defeating EBYA with authority (avenging a loss in the 10U finals last year)!  The ladies got it done in just 5 innings, beating EBYA by a score of 11-3 via the Mercy Rule!  They finished the tournament with a stellar record of 4 wins and one tie…way to go ladies!

Shortly thereafter, our 10U’s kept it rolling by defeating the locals of Lionville, LYA #1 to capture the championship!  Not only did they knock out LYA#1, they also sent LYA#2 packing in the semi-final round to earn the right to fight for the title!

Both teams then headed to B Field to cheer on our 14U team.  Our ladies were in a tough match with Fallowfield #2.  The lead changed hands several times during the game, but in the end we had to settle for the silver medal.  This was a huge accomplishment for this team, as they had to battle their way through two games on Sunday in order to make it to the championship round.  Not only did they win both of these games by the Mercy Rule but they knocked out the undefeated  #1 seed (and local favorite) LYA #2 in the process!
