West Bay Rams Football: Mission Statement

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the West Bay Rams organization is to be committed to excellence both on the field and in the classroom.  Academics and athletics go hand-in-hand in developing well rounded young men and women.  While always striving to win, above all, we will play the game and cheer with dignity, pride and respect.  In the spirit of good sportsmanship and honor of the game, we will always be proud of ourselves and the effort we set forth – win or lose.  We will teach the fundamentals of football and cheer while inspiring youth, regardless of race, creed, religion or national origin.  We believe that the fond memories of this truly unique experience will remain with our children far beyond their playing and cheering days with the West Bay Rams.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The West Bay Rams organization will motivate and challenge our players, cheerleaders, coaches and parents both on and off the field.  We will do our best to create a fun and safe environment where hard work and a positive attitude will be the keys to success.  We will practice the ideals of sportsmanship, scholastics and physical fitness.  Among other characteristics, the players and cheerleaders of the West Bay Rams organization will learn teamwork, commitment, communication, responsibility and leadership.  We will do our best to provide a highly structured, fun and extremely safe environment which encourages the personal development of each child.  Along with the fundamentals of football and cheer, the West Bay Rams organization will teach skills, values and knowledge that will stay with these young people throughout their lives.   While Peninsula Pop Warner provides the football, cheer and dance program, the success of the West Bay Rams and the ability to achieve our goals depends on you, the people that we call family.  Working together we can build a very successful organization.  Finally, the commitment to you, our family, both new and returning, is that we will be honest and open in our communication, practice individual integrity and treat each child and parent with respect.
