Land O' Frost Minor League


The Minor League is an instructional league for players age 6 through 8. (League age is determined as of July 31.) This is a coach pitch league with round robin batting. Players are guaranteed a minimum of 2 innings of defensive play per game. The Minor League emphasizes the understanding of baseball rules, the teaching of fundamentals, sportsmanship, teamwork and fun through competition.
In the spring each team plays 16 games. In the fall each team plays 8 games. Both spring and fall seasons are followed by a single elimination tournament. Games are scheduled on weeknights and Saturdays. Rain makeups are scheduled on Sunday afternoons and evenings.


Girls American League 9-11 Softball

Rookie 9/10 League
The American League 9/10 Division is a competitive, instructional spring league for players age 9 /10. (League age is determined as of April 30.) The focus is on developing baseball fundamentals, and the 9/10 age group permits younger players to gain experience in key positions, and to be introduced to pitching and catching. This is a player pitch league featuring round robin batting. Players are guaranteed a minimum of 2 defensive innings per game. Available playing slots in this league are filled after the National League draft. Only truly exceptional 9 year old players should consider National League play, and require Baseball Committee approval to do so.

Girls 12U Softball Program

American League
The American League is a competitive, instructional spring league for players age 11 /12 whose skills are not as advanced as those of the National League players. (League age is determined as of April 30.) This is a player pitch league featuring round robin batting. Players are guaranteed a minimum of 2 defensive innings per game. Available playing slots in this league are filled after the National League draft. This league will follow the Cal Ripken Major 70 format, which features leading and stealing, and a 50-foot pitching distance.



National League
The National League is a competitive, advanced spring league offering the highest level of play for players age 11 and 12. (League age is determined as of April 1st. This is a player pitch league. Players are guaranteed a minimum of 2 defensive innings per game, and 6 offensive at bats per 6 games. The National League is designed for players with a high skill level or potential. Available playing slots are filled in this league first, followed by the American League.

Both American and National Leagues will follow the Cal Ripken Major 70 rules, allowing leading and stealing, and with a 50-foot pitching distance.

Each team plays 14 regular season games followed by a single elimination tournament. In the fall the National League and the American League are combined to form the Fall Little League.


Girls 14U Softball

Junior League
The Junior League is a competitive league for players league age 13-14. In the fall this league is for players league age 12-13. League age is determined as of July 31.) This league is designed to be a competitive league
for players desiring to develop their skills in preparation for High School baseball. Each player is guaranteed 10 defensive innings and 5 offensive at bats per 6 games.
In the spring each team plays 14 games. In the fall each team plays 12 games.
The spring season is followed by a double elimination tournament.The fall season is followed by a single elimination tournament.
Games are scheduled on weeknights and Saturdays. Rain makeups are scheduled on Sunday afternoons and evenings.


Spring Select
Age-specific Select teams, from age 9 to age 14. Teams travel locally (within 1.5 hours of Raleigh) and play games on Sunday afternoons against Select teams from other leagues. Select play is in addition to regular league play.
