2009 Outlook

2.East Anchorage Eagles-Despite winning the division last season,Oscar and his Eagles have dropped consecutive tournament Championship games to rival Palermo each of the last two seasons.
3.De Fajardo Giants-This could be the season Fernandez and his Giants end the drought en route to making his first division tournament appearance.
4.St.John Jets-Has been on the decline each of the last three seasons.
5.South Aukland Raiders-A division title may be out of the question in 09',but a battle for the 3rd overall seed in the Millenium could get interesting

2009 Outlook
1.Poughkeepsie Cardinals-Despite coming off a hostirical meltdown in the final two minutes of his Sweet 16 game vs. East Haven look for Palozzi and his Cards to win the New York division for the 3rd straight season. Poughkeepsie should once again be in the hunt to win both the Eastern region and National title.
2.Manhattan Eagles-After entering the New York Division tournament as a 3rd seed sitting at 7-9,Andrews and his Eagles made a cinderella run all the way to the National Tournament before getting toasted by Branford in round one last season. Look for Manhattan to make yet another push for a national tournament spot in 2009.
3.Broome County Jets-Entering his 5th season in the Madden League Dexter and his Jets will be seeking their first ever trip to the National Tournament. Despite his solid out of division record last season (6-2),Dexter and his Jets finished just 2-6 within the division and did not even qualify for the New York Division Tournament.
4.Fairport Packers-Anderson and his Packers improved to 8-9 last season which included a round 1 division tournament loss to Manhattan. The eight wins was four more then his rookie season back in 2007.
5.Hudson Valley Giants-Darious Jackson's Madden Bowl I title back in 2003 seems decades ago following four straight below .500 seasons. His switch from the Long Island to New York division did not prove to be any better as Jackson and his Giants would once again be home for the Holiday's come Mid-December.

1.Brockton Bucs-Grogan and his Bucs are always among the national leaders in total defense. Look for Brockton to capture their 2nd straight Eastern Division title.
2.Vermont Ravens-Donahue and his Ravens are always tough during the regular season, the post-season however is a totally different story.
3.Boston Cowboys-Willis and his Boys will look to rebound off a miserable 6-10 season which included four straight losses to end the season.
4.Burrillville Patriots-In his rookie season,Delopia and his Patriots have big shoes to fill replacing an Eastern Division legend in Hobbs.
5.Bellingham Falcons-Has not done much since his round one National Tournament loss to the West Hartford Chargers back in 2006.

2009 Outlook
1.Long Island Eagles-The Empire division has been a one man show each of the last three seasons. Dont expect that to change much in 2009.

3.New York City Falcons-Mobley and his Falcons will look to get to the next level in 2009 by actually fighting for the division title with Mount Vernon and Long Island.
4.Co-Op City Cowboys-Always a dangerous opponent,Hampton and his Boys just need to become more consistant week in and week out.
5.Beacon Bears-Six wins last season was a huge stepping stone considering they were 1-31 heading into the 2008 season

2009 Outlook
1.Woonsocket Patriots-The longest running member of the New England divison dating back to the Fall of 2003. Costa and his Pats have played in five New England Division Championship games, and lost them all (0-5).
2.East Haven Cowboys-Very quietly Clough and his East Haven squads have made the National Tournament four of five times. Two of those (2005&2008) were trips to the elite 8.
3.Manchester Bears-Sacco needs to add a little offense to the mix this season if he wants to be a true contender in the Eastern Region. The defense has been ranked 8th nationally each of the last two seasons.
4.Amersbury Jets-Probably wont be in contention to win the New England, but Gates and his Jets do have the ability to pull off some big upsets every now and again.
5.Madison Chargers-No more Middletown Colts to fill the 5th spot in the New England division. This should now belong to Datino and his Chargers from here on out.
