West Albany Girls Basketball: Welcome

Tryouts are scheduled for Monday through Thursday.  We have had to adjust the practice schedule to accommodate gym use for our volleyball team who advanced to the State Tournament for the third straight year.  Volleyball will have the gym from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  Therefore, our tryout schedule will include all players (frosh through senior).  Scroll to the bottom of the page to view times and venues.

A player on a playoff team does not need to worry about basketball tryouts until their season has concluded.  Those players will tryout at that point and there will be no negative impact on their tryout due to the success of their fall sport. 

If a basketball player wants to ride the rooter bus to watch our girls soccer team play at Ashland on Tuesday, it will be excused.  We have added a tryout day on Thursday.  Friday, we may have a Varsity/JV practice in the morning.  All afternoon practices on Friday will NOT take place so students can attend the volleyball state tournament.

It's a great "problem" to have and the basketball program wants the fall sports to extend as long as possible.  GO BULLDOGS!

The team (all 3 teams) will be traveling to Crater and Ashland on Dec. 11-12.  We will be staying at the Fairfield Inn in Central Point.  The manager there will honor the group rate we negotiated for any parents wishing to stay overnight as well.  If you wish to book a reservation, contact:
