--Nelson Recreation Center--
Built in 1970, the Nelson Recreation Center houses Tansey Gymnasium, home of the men's and women's basketball and men's and women's volleyball teams. Tansey Gymnasium is also used for Wentworth's intramural program, recreational basketball and volleyball and outdoor sports teams' practice during preseason and inclement weather. There is a fitness center located on the third floor which contains Nautilus and free weights, as well as cardiovascular equipment. Adminstrative offices are housed on the second floor.
--Sweeney Field--
In August 1996, Wentworth's new athletic field, located directly across from Wentworth's front door, was completed. This synthetically-surfaced, state-of-the-art field is the practice and contest site for varsity softball, soccer and lacrosse teams, as well as host to intramural programs. The field is lit so that competition can be held during both daylight and evening hours. The majority of soccer home games and parctices are held at night, so athletes don't have to worry about conflicts with classes.
