General Administration and Troubleshooting
Shared albums and photos apply to League and Organization sites. These Albums were added by sub-sites in your League or Organization. You can use these images throughout your site and within your albums. Shared images can only be deleted by the top level (League or Org) site and the sub-site that added them.
On the sub-site's Albums page, locate the shared album which contains the image(s) you wish to use on your sub-site. Click on the album and drag and drop the image(s) to a sub-site album. This will make a copy of the image which will be made available to use on your sub site.
Log in to your Admin Albums folder. Select the Settings button. Here, you have 3 options.
- Notify all webmasters when new Albums are added - a check mark next to this will notify all webmasters
- Notify the team when new Albums are added - a check mark next to this will notify all team members
- Send team members update - sends an email immediately if this option is selected
Once the appropriate selections are made, click "save" to save changes.
Log in to your Admin Albums folder. Select the Settings button. A check mark next to "allow Members to add photos" will give site visitors the ability to upload photos to your site. Change your page access in the Pages section of the Admin Access folder if you do not want anonymous site visitors to add images.
Yes, all images added to your site take up space. If you find that more space is needed, you may upgrade to 5GB of space for $19.95 annually! Purchases are made in the Admin PLUS folder.
In your Admin Albums folder select an Album. Here, you have the option to display images within Admin in either Thumbnail View or List View. Thumbnail View displays a thumbnail of that image. This option also allows you to move images within an Album. Selecting List View will display the image details such as Date and Time Added, File Size and Last Edit Date.
Before you upload images, be sure you are saving images for web use. Just one improperly saved or corrupt image can cause an entire photo album and/or image not to load.
If your photo editor has a "Save for Web" option, be sure to use it. Adobe Photoshop is one editor that offers this feature. You may also use an image optimizer to save appropriately.
A good image optimizer to use can be found at www.xat.com (this product will also allow you to crop and resize your images). Other good products are provided by Adobe at www.adobe.com/digitalimag.
For more tips, refer to the Why do my pictures show up so large on my site? FAQ.
We're working on this. Rest assured that if you select the image to display on your site, it can be viewed with no issues. Clicking the edit icon next to the image in Admin will display the image in non animated form.
Ensure that the image hasn't been deleted in the Images section of the Admin Uploads folder.
Also, check the file name of your image. The file name should not contain any special characters or spaces. If it does, resave without the special characters and upload again to your site.
Check the file size of your image. If it's large then your server may time out before the upload is complete. It's best to use a photo editor to resize your image. Keep in mind that your site visitors will need to download the image in order to view.

Use the microscope icons next to the Logo and/or Banner to zoom in or zoom out to see your entire image.
Always click "save changes" in the upper right after making edits.
Many times, when viewing an image from a photo CD or digital camera, you will only be looking at a small version of the true image (and not even know it). This will depend on the quality of the image. Be sure to check your viewing options on the photo editor you're using and set to "view full size" or set to view 100%. This will allow you to adjust the image size (crop and resize) according to the image's true scale before you save and upload to your web site.
Optimizing your image for web use is best, especially when using large and high resolution photos from digital cameras and photo CDs. File size reductions of up to 50% or more are possible, which can considerably decrease web page download times, reduce server load, reduce bandwidth charges and save on disk space.
When saving JPEG and GIF images for your site, be sure to pay attention to the resolution of the image. The resolution of most monitors is 72 dpi (pixels per inch). Even though you can display larger dpi images on some computers, when it is transferred to the web, it will seem to grow relative to this standard resolution. Be sure to size images appropriately and change the resolution to 72 dpi before you upload. Many photo editors, such as Adobe Photoshop, will have a "Save for Web" option. This option will automatically optimize the image for best web viewing.
