THE RACE IS ON........

As the season is winding down I wanted to take time to give you an update on the league standings....
This season has been very exciting to say the least.  There have been 5 games won by just 1 run!!!  Several games have been reported to me that have been battles with several lead changes.  There have been at least 3 games I know of that have had 1 team leading significantly (5-10 runs or more) to have the underdog come from behind and take the victory.  Score reports have been great with many teams reporting outstanding players for each game.  I know the papers have been covering us and with the addition of WRNJ reporting scores, the league is certainly receiving noticable recognition.
A DIVISION
With only 4 regular season games left, Skylands Orthopaedics has clinched the A Division title for the 2007 season.  Luigi's is right behind them in a race for 2nd with Sunrise Title Services on their heels; Sunrise has 2 games left to play in the regular season while Luigi's has 1.  Schaible's Plumbing & Heating and D & D Heating & Air Conditioning are battling it out for 4th and 5th place.  We could possibly see a play off game between these 2 teams later in the season to determine 4th place.
B DIVISION
Beaver Tree Service and ADI/Independence are fighting it out for 1st place, both posting a 6-2 record to date.  It could be a nailbiter in this division having to come down to the wire and finish it on the field Monday Aug 13th as they play each other in their final regular season games.  Village Square Wine & Liquors & Alpha Liquors/J. Pip's Paving are racing to 3rd and 4th place.....depending on how each of their last 2 regular season games play out.....we could possibly see a playoff game for these 2 teams.  Bagelsmith is holding steady in 5th place and Alpha Family Restaurant is in 6th.
Good luck to all teams in their race to the finish.......it looks like we will have a few more exciting games to watch as the season wraps up!
