Also, on Tuesday, November 18, fundraiser boxes of candy will be distributed at the end of conditioning. There are 52 pieces in each box at $1.00 each. The girls will sign out and be responsible for the money only to be returned no later than Friday, December 5.
Thanks to those that came to workday. We ran out of sand bags (we had 50) and will order 100 more to finish off. Bleachers were moved to mow under, outfield mowed, weedeating around whole field, general tidying, batting cage cleaned out, areas in front of dugouts cut back, tuffs of grass removed from lip etc. Special thanks to West Lawn & Landscape.
Things decided include getting a sod cutter and cutting back the infield approximately 3 feet to get rid of the lip; aerating and overseeding with winter rye; new dugout bleachers (although we heard rumors of new dugouts); and concreting the batting cage area. This of course takes money. When conditioning resumes on November 17, the girls will be asked to take a box of candy to sell. This was the best idea we could think of that the parents should not be out any money in case your child does not make the team in February's tryouts. We also need to send out our sponsorship/sign program. Any ideas welcomed and encouraged!
