Scrimmages at Hillview & Practice Sites
Scrimmages at Hillview & Practice Sites
Attention Coaches:
Scrimmages at Hillview:
You must obtain permission from the Director of Coaches, Rene Llanes for all scrimmages at Hillview. He must have a minimum 1 week notice.
Practice Field Space:
We have a couple of issues with the practice space at Hillview:
· To all coaches cut down your practice space. We have a lot of teams practicing at Hillview. There is also a part of the field that can’t be utilized because of the mud. Let’s please work together and share the field.
· Set up your practice field only 15 minutes before your start time.
· Don’t set up practice fields for other coaches to save them a spot. If the Director of Coaches continues to see this he will take the practice field away from both coaches.
If you have any questions please email the Director of Coaches, Rene Llanes at rrlanes@verizon.net .

Links to Drills and Practice Plans
Coaches,
Below is a link to a web called "Footy 4 Kids". This web site has drills, games, practice plans and even a coaches manual.
http://www.footy4kids.co.uk/basic-soccer-skills.htm
This link should take you to the page "How to teach basic soccer skills". Below that title find the link called "Practice Plans" and click on it. Then on the next page scroll down to "Gavin's 8 week practice plans" and click on it. Then you can pick the coaching manual for U6, U8, U10, U12 and U14.
The website offers information on how to organize the practice, warm ups, practice plans, games and drills. I think it would be a good resource for our NEW Coaches.

Foul Language will not be TOLERATED!!!
ZERO TOLERANCE!!!
Attn: Coaches, Team Parents and Parents
It has come to our attention that some parents and coaches got out of control this past weekend. WAYS has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy. We will not allow foul language to be used on the side lines or practice fields. We will not allow adults to yell at children.
Please note that the individuals that have violated our regulations will be brought in front of the Board for disciplinary actions.
The Coach needs to control his/her sidelines. You have every right to ask an out of control parent to walk away from the game and cool off.
Remember that the parent, coach and the team can be carded, the game can be stopped and the team can lose sportsmanship points.
If you have any questions, please email the 1st VP, Marc Jacobson at msjac@charter.net .
