Check the website daily for practice updates or changes. ************ Non-Hurricane Ball Policy **School Ball** School Ball practice and games come 1st before Hurricane ball. You are excused from Hurricane Ball when you have school ball. ** Babe Ruth or other Rec Ball** If you have a rec ball game you can miss Hurricane practice. If you have rec ball practice the same time as Hurricane practice you must be at Hurricane practice. If you have a Rec ball game the same time as a Hurricane ball game then you must be at the Hurricane ball game. **Other travel teams** There are times other travel teams need additional players. The Hurricane coaching staff works hard on a schedule that works for the team. Therefore, when we take a weekend off it is needed. If we have a practice weekend, we do this because it is needed. 14U B State Champs June
We will be practicing Sunday afternoon. If the weather is good and we can be outside, we will start at 3pm. If it is raining or cold we will be inside and practice will start at 4pm. Check the website Saturday night for any changes. See everyone there.
The Wayne County Hurricanes are currently looking 1 or 2 solid players to add to their existing team. We already have a great core of young ladies that are very talented. We are looking for a utility player as well as a catcher that can share some of the responsibility behind the plate. If you are looking for a change, we may have the right fit for you. 12U 99 Hurricanes
We would like to thank everyone that came out for the tryouts in the various age groups. We had a very strong 10U showing. If there are any 10U players looking a team please contact Steve Price at (252) 315-0662 or Ron Daughtey at (252) 560-5617. A couple of pitchers would be an awesome addition to what came out today. Efforts to form a new 8U and 14U are still ongoing. If interested please contact Steve or Ron at the numbers above.
February fees are due by Saturday, February 4th.
Our regularly scheduled practice times are Wednesday at 6:00 pm and Saturday at 9:00 am. If there is a change we will try to get it posted on the website and/or you will be emailed/texted. Please try to get to all practices at least 10 minutes early to make sure you are ready to go at the scheduled practice time.
Also, we still have a few outstanding fees due. Please get them paid as soon as possible. Also now due is a $25.00 fee to cover insurances, sanction fees, and tentative banquet costs.
We also have a t-shirt and hoodie design ready to go. We will begin placing orders for those in the week or so. We will also begin discussing uniform options. Please get fees caught up if you have not already done so.
