GOALIE LAND THROWING DRILL

Player should stand 6-12 yards from a tall wall, facing the wall. The ball should be thrown against the wall at a height where when the ball rebounds, it can be caught by the player, without the player having to move. Make sure the player is using their whole body when throwing by rotating their shoulders, moving over their hips, and following through. Right handed players should start with their left shoulder forward and while they are throwing their right shoulder will rotate around and end up in front. This allows for the whole body to be used during the throw rather than just the arm. Outlet passes are an important part of a goalie's resonsibilities.
