WASATCH SOCCER CLUB: U8 & U9 - Academy

UYSA Academy League

Academy represents a transitional step from recreation-based soccer to the competitive leagues. Coaches are licensed (or will be licensed) and work under the guidance of professional trainers. There is one game each week during the fall and spring season, and typically two weekly practice sessions. There is likely to be indoor training and play during some winter months.

Emphasis is placed on dribbling, passing, receiving and moving - winning is not the goal at this level.  As a result, the player will develop a higher level of skill.  Player development in all aspects of life is the ultimate goal of Wasatch Soccer Club. 

Estimated costs:

  • Registration for District 4--$65 per year
  • Club Fees—Wasatch Soccer Club--$20 per year—this includes 6 free professional training sessions
  • Referee fees—Approximately--$25 per year
  • Uniform—Approximately--$50
  • If the team uses a trainer for more than 6 training sessions the cost will be approximately $45--$50 per session paid equally by each player  

There are no try outs for these age groups. We will hold a ROUND UP on May 28th and 29th at Kaysville Junior High School 4-5:30 PM. Coaches and teams will be organized at that time.
