Warsaw Area Rugby Football Club: My Site News
Tuesday, May 31Warsaw Girls are State Champs!
The Warsaw Girls Rugby Team won the 2005 Indiana State Championship. They defeated Penn in the semi-finals 22-0. This is the second time this season we defeated the defending state champion. The girls then met North Central in the finals. The first ten minutes were challenging as we started slow in the forwards and allowed North Central to score first and go up 5-0. However, from that point on it was all Warsaw. The backs ran strong and true thru the North Central defense and the forwards were strong in support in the rucks and mauls. The Warsaw girls never looked back and went on to win the match 41-5.
