The Warsaw Area Rugby Football Club consists of a boys and a girls rugby team which both compete in the Indiana Rugby Football Union state tournaments. The club began play in the Spring of 2003, and is open to all high school students willing to make the commitment to a multi school team sport.

Rugby is a club sport, operating under the guidance of the United States Rugby Football Union and the International Rugby Board. Rugby is a contact sport, which requires the endurance of soccer, the tackling skills of football and the teamwork of basketball. Rugby is played in over 92 countries world wide. There are 27 boys high school teams in Indiana and 17 girls teams. Rugby is played on close to 500 college campuses in the U.S. with 8 Indiana campuses offering men's rugby and 4 local colleges offering women's rugby.

For more information on how rugby is played, click on the "Handouts" section and download the "Rugby for Beginners" handout. If you are interested in playing this Spring, click on the contact name in the side bar, or leave your message in our Guestbook. Also link to irbrugbyready on the links page for more info.

Thanks to all our sponsors for their great support. As a club sport, Warsaw Rugby receives no tax dollars and depends on player dues and donations to keep playing. To make a tax deductible donation to the Warsaw Area Rugby Football Club, check our sponsors page for information about the Youth Rugby Development Corporation. Without the generous donations of all our sponsors, a great opportunity for student athletes would not exist. Please support our sponsors with your business!
