Welcome Letter from Steve Willingham

Welcome Warriors and Parents, We are excited to welcome you aboard the Warriors Wrestling Club and into the 2008-2009 season. This letter will outline some important dates and reminders that you and your son will need to know for the season. So please mark your calendars now, so you don’t get left behind. Our website www.warriorswrestling.com will be continually updated through out the season, so add it to the list of favorites.

Practices for recreation teams will be two days a week with matches on the weekend and travel team practices will be three nights a week. The practices will be held at South Carroll, Century, or Liberty High Schools starting in November and ending in February or early March. For practices and matches your son will need wrestling shoes and headgear. They will also need purple Warrior team shorts for competition, which can be purchased along with the headgear through the Warriors.

DON'T MISS the Parents Meeting, wrestler weigh in, and first evaluation night.

Monday November 3rd at 6:00

Century High Cafeteria.

This is a mandatory meeting that you and your son must attend. At this meeting you will need a copy of his birth certificate (if you are new) and any spirit wear forms with money. If you have a business or individually or know someone that would like to sponsor the Warriors Wrestling Program please see me or Sue Scott at the meeting. Team sponsorships vary in price and may include a plaque, the company name on the banner and their link on our website.

The two evaluation nights this year are November 3rd and 7th at Century High School and any wrestler can attend. If your son would like to be on a travel team he must attend the evaluation nights. I would recommend that if your son has wrestled for 3 or more years he come to the evaluations.

If you are interested in coaching we will have a meeting on November 2nd, please RSPV vial e-mail. All teams will start practices the week of November 10th. See you on November 3rd.

The team has provided South Carroll, Century, Liberty, Winters Mill, Hammond, Glenelg and McDonogh High Schools with a number of successful wrestlers over the years, including:
