Simmons Signed by Wichita State
All-Stater Zach Simmons signed to play basketball at Wichita State, a Division I school in Kansas.
He red-shirted his freshman year, but looks forward to contributing the next four years......

Zach Simmons Selected to All-State Team
Senior center Zach Simmons, culminating an awesome season, was selected by the Daily Oklahoman for the Class 2A All-State Team. He will play in the All-State game at the University of Tulsa on August 1st.
Simmons was also selected to participate in the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-Star game at Oklahoma Baptist University on June 8th.
Simmons finished the season ranked 1st in Class 2A rebounding with 13.5 per game.
He finished the season ranked 4th in Class 2A in Field Goal Percentage at 63.4%.
He finished the season ranked 8th in Class 2A in Scoring with 18.9 points per game.
Had they kept track, he would have CERTAINLY led Class 2A in blocked shots with 6.2 per game.

Nathan Price Earns Honorable Mention on the All-State Team
Senior point guard Nathan Price, completing his fourth year on the varsity – three in a starting role, earned Honorable Mention for All-State consideration by the Daily Oklahoman. He was also selected as an alternate for the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-Star game at Oklahoma Baptist University on June 8th.

Price finished the season ranked 3rd in Class 2A in Assists with 172, or 6.6 per game..
He finished the season ranked 8th in Class 2A in Free Throw Percentage at 75.7%. He had placed 5th in this same category his sophomore year, and had been State Runner-Up in the OCA Free Throw Competition his freshman year.
Price finished the season ranked 18th in Class 2A in Steals, with 69, or 2.7 per game.

Zach Simmons was selected to the second team on the All-Little City Team by the Daily Oklahoman.
The Little City Team is comprised of Class 4A and smaller schools in towns surrounding the metro area.

Warriors Complete Greatest Season Ever!!
The Warriors finished the school's best boy's basketball season ever. They had the only back-to-back appearances in the State Tournament; they had the highest ranking at #2; they had the best record at 23-3, and won the first game ever in the State tournament.

Yale's Luck Runs Out - OCS Wins State Title
Yale finally ran out of luck and sympathetic officials and were forced to play OCS straight up in the 2A Finals.

Warriors Finish Regular Season Business - Look to Playoffs
The Warriors finished their regular-season schedule last night at Lexington. The 32-point victory pushed their record to a sparkling 18-1.

The Warriors host Rush Springs in District Playoff action this Friday, and then host the first Regional Playoff game next Thursday, the 21st.

Warriors Scrimmage Clayton and Marlow
The Warriors hosted a 3-team scrimmage on Saturday, the 29th, with Clayton and Marlow responding as guests.
The action was brisk, although the play was rough - all three teams not very smooth after the long holiday lay-off.
The Warriors looked good on defense and passable on offense. Zach Simmons played well, and the team rode him to victory in more than a couple of the scrimmage periods.
Every player saw considerable action, thus accomplishing the coach's goal.
Next game: Jan 4th at home versus Davis.

Warriors Beat 5A Ada in Scrimmage
The Warriors traveled to Ada on Monday for a multi-game scrimmage.

The Warriors were pitted against 5A's Ada High School - ranked #7 in the Oklahoman's Pre-season Poll. After falling behind (and minus a starter), the Warriors staged a furious rally and claimed the win just before the final buzzer.

Warriors Stay at State Short - Fall to Mnt. St. Mary
The Warriors lost their opening game in the state tournament to #1 Ranked Mount Saint Mary, 77-52. This ends the Warriors successful season at 19-9. (Click on game link for complete story.)

Warriors Defeat Sayre - Advance Once Again
The Warriors defeated Sayre, 52-42, in Area Playoffs this afternoon. They advance to the Consolation Final Saturday (March 3rd) evening at 8:00 p.m. at Lawton. Winner of that game goes on to the State Tournament.
