Boston Warrior AAU Boy's Basketball: Warrior News: 2010 Boston Warriors AAU Spring Boys Basketball Tryouts

The Boston Warriors AAU Boys Basketball organization would like to announce the 2010 spring tryouts for both the Boston Warriors and Boston Warriors North Division AAU Boys teams. The Boston Warrior AAU Boys Basketball Program is one of the strongest programs in New England from 4th grade through high school juniors.  Last year we had 13  teams qualify for the AAU National Championships. But it is not all about going to the National Championships. We offer players of all talent level the possible opportunity to play competitive spring basketball. In the spring, all teams will play at least 5 tournaments, the roster size is manageable and the cost is to play affordable. Most of all, we will provide very good coaching including a lot of skill work with real practices. This year we will have multiple teams from age 9 and under (3rd grade) to 17 and under (11th grade).

For players in the Boston and metrowest area (south & west of Boston) practices will be in the Waltham/Lexington/Cambridge area. The Boston Warriors North division will be made up primarily of players on the north shore. The practices for these teams will generally be in the Woburn, Wakefield, Peabody & Malden area. This year, for organizational purposes, the tryouts for the Boston Warriors and Boston Warriors North will be at at Waltham High School.

Below are the times and locations of the tryouts:

9U(3rd grade)-Saturday 2/6 & 2/13 at 6:00 PM @ Waltham HS 

                                                             10U (4th Grade) –    Saturday 2/6 & 2/13 at 6:00 PM at Waltham HS 
11U (5th grade) -     Saturday 2/6 & 2/13 at 3:00 PM at Waltham HS 
12U (6th grade) -     Saturday 2/6 & 2/13 at 6:00 PM at Waltham HS 
13U (7th Grade) -    Saturday 2/6 & 2/13 at 4:30 PM at Waltham HS

                                              14U (8th Grade) -    Saturday 2/6 & 2/13 at 7:30 PM at Waltham HS 
15U (9th Grade) -    Saturday 2/27 & 3/6 at 6:00 PM at Waltham HS
16U (10th Grade) -  Saturday 2/27 & 3/6 at 7:30 PM at Waltham HS
17U (11th grade) -  Saturday 2/27 & 3/6 at 7:30 PM at Waltham HS 

 

Within a few days of the tryouts, please check the website for any possible last minute changes to verify tryout times and locations.

We suggest that ALL players who will be trying out should download the attached registration form and send it to us in the next day or 2 with the tryout fee.

If your son wants to tryout for one of the teams and he has a conflict on one (or both) of the dates of the tryouts, please tell us ASAP and we will see what we can do to accommodate him.

Due to the expansion of the program, we are always looking for qualified coaches. If you are looking to coach in the spring or you know someone that would be interested in coaching, please contact us ASAP and we can discuss the possibility.
