Summer Hawks: Registration Due THURS, MAY 24

Travel Softball Teams -- We're forming travel softball teams for the summer. This year we'll have three teams -- an 18U, 14U, and 12U Girls Travel Softball teams to play in the Middle Essex league beginning the week of June 25. Eligibility is based on your age as of Jan. 1, 2012: All girls 18 years of age and under, 14 years and under, and 12 years and under are eligible. Registration form and a fee of $75 is DUE NO LATER THAN MAY 24 to Steve McGovern. Make checks payable to "Waltham Girls Softball." Download the form by clicking on the handout below. Either mail it or drop it off at Stephen's Cleaners, 90 Linden Street. 

Tryouts will be held at Middlebrook Field on Forest Street on Sunday, June 3, at 3:00 pm. Games will be played twice a week (Mondays–Thursdays) at 6:15 pm and practice will be on Fridays. Games begin the week of June 25 and continue for 7 weeks. For more information, contact Steve McGovern 781-760-6485. Weather Updates

If the weather is questionable, please check here for updated information about any cancellations of games and practices. We will post cancellation notices by 4 pm on the day of a game or practice. Click this link to go to AccuWeather.com for Waltham's local forecast and radar.

Practice Schedules

Teams in the T-ball level, Junior League, and Senior League have been formed and practices have started. Please check the list of practices at the bottom of the homepage. Click on Locations on the menu for maps and directions to the fields around Waltham.

Game Schedules

The Junior League and Senior League game schedules are now listed on the website. The Senior League season began on Thursday, April 26, and the Junior League began on Friday, April 27. Use the menu at left to click on Calendar to see the upcoming games in a month-at-a-glance format, or click on Schedules and then choose your league to see the schedule in a list format. (If you notice anything that doesn't look right on the schedules, please email mersmith62@gmail.com.) Makeup games will be added to the online schedules as soon as they are available.

Navigating the Website

We've got lots of information available on our website and we keep it updated throughout the season. Click on "Calendar" on the menu for a quick overview of upcoming events. Once we have the schedules input, you'll be able to see the season at a glance and check out scores and standings. Upcoming games and practices will be listed at the bottom of this home page. If you want information about your team, click on "Teams" on the menu and then click on your team. This gets you into your team's sub-site (and the background colors will change accordingly). From within your team's sub-site, you can click on "Schedules" or "Calendar" to see a listing of only your team's games and practices. Click on "Site Home" to get back to the main website.
